Images of Wei Chu, 25, standing outside Songjiang University, Shanghai holding a ‘Girlfriend Sharing’ advertising board first emerged on Chinese social media earlier this week.
He invited interested passers-by to log on to a nearby wifi network in order to check out images of his 21-year-old girlfriend Xiao Ai, who can be ‘rented’ for just £1 an hour – although the man insists ‘no funny business’ can take place on dates he suggests should be focused around dinner or studying.
The contract includes everything but sexual acts, according to the handwritten signs the man held up.
In return for $1.64 an hour, the man is making his girlfriend available to “eat, study, play games or go on dates,” just “no funny business.”
News outlets are reporting that his girlfriend was allegedly in on the pitch.

The offer comes with monthly and hourly “package” rates.
He even includes his girlfriend’s measurements: 105 pounds, 5.5 feet tall.
She’s studying foreign languages.
The image of the desperate man and his offer have been making the rounds on Weibo, a Chinese social networking website.
