The 28-year-old striker owns 2 mansions at VGC Lagos worth N500 million, a massive home in Como, Italy valued at N800 Million, and top hotels in Italy. He splashed N400million on his charity foundation not too long ago. He drives a Lamboghini worth N50m,Porsche Gemballa worth N20m, Bmw X6worth N 18M,and a Ferrarri sport car. 

3) JOHN  MIKEL OBI 

Sources say John Mikel Obi, the Chelsea midfielder is the current highest earning Nigerian footballer. He joined Chelsea in 2006 from Norwegian club Fc Lyn Oslo on a US$25 million. He is currently on US$120,000,(N20m), per week excluding bonuses, and income from participating at the UEFA Champions League. The 25-year-old Jos born player owns mansions in Jos, Lagos and London worth about N800m. He has shares in top companies, and he recently launched a record label, MATURED MONEY MIND (MMM). 2)KANU NWANKWO 

Although retired, Kanu popularly known as “Papilo” has made a lot of money in football, after playing for top clubs like Ajax FC, Inter Milan, Arsenal, West Brom, and Pompey Portsmouth.  At the last check, King Kanu earned as much as £30,000 weekly at Championship side, Pompey before the club had financial problems. A toddler died of accidental drowning after falling into in a tank of baptismal water in an Alabama church just two months shy of his second birthday. Brayden King was under the supervision of his 13-year-old sister when he fell into the large rectangular font last Friday at the Pentecostal House of Prayer in Decatur, about 75 miles north of Birmingham, said Morgan County Coroner Jeffrey Chunn. The little boy was found submerged in 33 inches of water and pronounced dead after unsuccessful attempts to revive him. The child’s mother, Kimberly King, who has two teenage daughters, had prayed to God for years for a son, the Huntsville Times newspaper quoted church pastor Bishop TD Strong as saying over the weekend. ‘Twenty-two months ago he gave her a son,’ Strong said, according to the newspaper. ‘And 22 months later he was taken away. I’ve been preaching 30 years and pastoring for 20 years, this is the first time in my ministry I’ve been speechless.’ Pastor Strong described the boy’s family as ‘devastated.’ The freak accident happened around 7.45pm Friday while Brayden was at the church with his older sister and mother. Strong said Kimberly King was preparing for a skit to be performed at a prayer meeting, and the sister was tasked with keeping an eye on the toddler. Parent’s worst nightmare: Brayden’s mother left him in the care of his 13-year-old sister while she attended a prayer meeting, but the teen lost track of her brother for a short time The teen lost track of the toddler for a short time. Little Brayden somehow climbed up two flights of stairs and opened a set of doors to reach the font behind the altar still filled with water from a Sunday baptism, Decatur Daily reported. When Mrs King realized her son was not with his sister, she went on a frantic search of the church building, which eventually led her to the baptism tank where her son was discovered unresponsive. Church members and emergency crews who were called to the scene were unable to resuscitate the child. ‘I’m just at a loss, because it is so close to home,’ Strong said. ‘People die every day. And I’ve done many funerals, but for a child to die in church, in the baptistery, it’s beyond ordinary and something that will never be forgotten by me.’ A funeral for the little boy will be held Thursday at Westside M.B. Church, after which he will be laid to rest in Rather Family Cemetery.

The Nigerian entertainment industry has witnessed its fair share of celebrity accidents with a few of them being fatal. Here is a quick rundown of some of the worst celebrity accidents Nigeria has seen in no particular order.

1) Wizkid 

       

         There is no denying that Wizkid is one of Nigeria’s biggest music stars at the moment therefore it was a big scare when news broke of him crashing his newly acquired Porsche Panamera S car. According to eyewitnesses, the accident was caused by a burst tyre. Thankfully the multi award winning act came out of the accident unhurt with his N15million car taking most of the damage. In a display of wealth he replaced the car in a week, Porsche again.

2) Dagrin

         Some years might have passed since creative rapper Dagrin died but the memories of the car accident that took his life hasn’t left our memories. The rapper who was the rave of music industry at the time of his untimely death rammed his car into a stationery trailer parked in front of Alakara Police Station, Mushin area of Lagos. He was immediately put in intensive care and the talented rapper passed on a few days later. Dagrin’s crashed car  

  3) CD John 

           CD John John Chijioke better known as CD John threw the whole entertainment industry into a state of mourning when the news of his death was announced. The young comedian’s death came sadly three days before his birthday after he was involved in a fatal car accident. Talented and hardworking, he was returning home from a listening party at Victoria Island, Lagos when the crash occurred. 

4) Jim Iyke and Emma Ehumadu  

          

         Just like the hardworking CD John, the duo of popular Nollywood stars Jim Iyke and Emma Ehumadu were involved in a car accident that led to Emma Ehumadu being hospitalized. The duo had been shooting a robbery scene at a movie location in Delta state sometime back in March this year when the accident occurred. The brake of the car was reported to have failed and hit another location bus, Emma’s skull opened with Jim Iyke escaping with minor injuries. Thankfully in this case no life was lost.

 

 5) MC Loph 

Another car accident that rocked the entertainment industry involved high life rapper Obiajulu Kenneth Nwaozor better known as MC Loph by fans. The accident occurred on the Benin-Ore Expressway and the fact that he had been on his way to his hometown in Anambra to perform his traditional marriage rites made it more tragic. He died alongside his sister in the crash with his fiancé the only survivor. 

6) Uche Jombo 

            Multi talented diva Uche Jombo cheated death some years back on June 24, 2011 when her FJ Cruiser hit another car head-on along the Lekki/Chevron area of Lagos. The actress later took to social media platform Twitter to thank God for saving her life, she tweeted: “Thank U lord 4 d gift of life! Only U lord did this! Thank U my rock!” Look at the crashed car 

7) Chidinma Mbalaso 

          Chidinma Mbalaso came into prominence when she emerged the 2nd runner up in the maiden edition of entertainer D Banj’s reality show Koko Mansion. The University of Abuja undergraduate died in a tragic accident on her way from Kaduna to Abuja where she had gone to buy a car. She was paving a way for herself as an actress and stylist till the cold hands of death snatched her from the world at a tender age of 22.

Synagogue Tragedy: South Africa sends plane to fly back injured nationals,another survivor recounts ordeal

The South African government has said it would send an aircraft to Lagos to evacuate survivors of the collapsed building at the Synagogue Church for All Nations, South African Sunday Independent reports. Eighty-six South Africans reportedly lost their lives in the tragedy. South African officials were quoted as saying on Saturday that the aircraft to fetch the survivors would arrive in Nigeria on Sunday. The officials also said that the corpses of the dead victims would remain in Nigeria for identification by forensic experts. They added that the plane, which will carry medical personnel, would remain briefly on the ground in Lagos to load the injured South Africans before returning home. It is believed that at least 30 South Africans are in hospitals in the Lagos. “They are apparently under guard by security employed by SCOAN,” the South African paper said. South Africa has however mobilised a massive effort to deal with the aftermath of the tragedy. Apart from sending in forensic experts to deal with the bodies, government has also sent in doctors to treat the injured and counsellors to help the injured and their families. Social workers are also at OR Tambo to support families waiting for injured relatives. South Africa’s intervention comes more than a week after the fatal event that has claimed 84 South African lives. At the time a total of 349 South Africans were in Lagos on matters connected to the church when the building collapsed. Meanwhile,a South African survivor has opened up on how she survived. Lying in the rubble of the guesthouse, only able to tell if it was night or day through a tiny crack, Lindiwe Ndwandwe heard the screams of others beneath the debris slowly turn silent. For five days the 33-year-old was trapped inside a toilet next to the dining hall of the collapsed Synagogue Church of All Nations, breathing only through a small hole in the wreckage. In the end, she was forced to drink her own urine to survive. “It’s like a dream to me that really, it’s me that came out from here,” the South African told AFP on Saturday as she surveyed the remains of the church in the Nigerian city of Lagos. “I don’t believe it. The tears that I cry, it’s because I don’t believe.”  
 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO EME STAR SHAYDEE (Graduate Of Unilorin)

SHAYDEE, born Shadrach Adeboye in 1987 in Kano state, Nigeria, is a gifted singer and song writer. He started singing as a duo with a friend on social nights in his senior secondary school days; he went on to join the school choir and in a very short time became the head of the choir. Years later he met Spellz, a producer and began writing songs for other artistes. He produced his first song, which was titled ‘How Do I Breathe’ shortly after that. In no time Shaydee started a career doing backup vocals and hooks for lots of artistes.

In 2012, Shaydee sealed a record deal with Empire Mates Entertainment after leaving his former label. He was immediately featured on the Empire Mates State of Mind album, which featured new label mates Banky W, Wizkid, Skales & Niyola.

The University of Ilorin Electrical Engineering graduate is currently working on his debut singles and collaborations with artistes from all over.

VIDEO: Man Jumps White House Fence, Gets inside Building

A man jumped a fence at the White House late Friday and made it through the North Portico doors into the building before he was captured, Secret Service spokesman Brian Leary told CNN. Part of the White House was evacuated after a disturbance was initially detected on the North Lawn, according to a CNN reporter who was among those hustled from the building. The first family was not at the White House at the time, but other people were. President Obama had left just four minutes earlier with his daughters via helicopter from the South Lawn to visit Camp David. The suspect, 42-year-old Omar Gonzalez of Copperas Cove, Texas, was apprehended just after making it inside the doors. He was taken to George Washington Medical Center for a medical evaluation, Leary said. Gonzalez was known to Secret Service, said an official, who spoke on condition of anonymity. The official would not say how or why. He had not been arrested by the Secret Service before. “He appeared to responding officers to be unarmed, and that turned out to be true. He ignored officers’ calls for him to stop and ran towards the White House,” Leary said. It’s unclear how Gonzalez made his way onto the grounds. A CNN crew saw Secret Service agents standing over what appeared to be a man on the North Portico. A man believed to be the suspect was later seen being loaded onto an ambulance. More than an hour later, Secret Service agents and dogs were seen standing near where the disturbance occurred. CNN White House producer Becky Brittain said she has never been evacuated off White House grounds in her nine years of reporting there. “This time they were very serious about getting us all out of the White House very quickly,” she said. 

Ibrahim Babangida reportedly hospitalized in Germany

According to Sahara Reporters, former Head of state, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida popularly known as IBB is currently in a hospital in German. He was reportedly rushed to Germany about 10 days ago from his hilltop mansion in Minna, Niger State. SR reports that the former military dictator who is 73 years old is severely ill and that his ailment relates to a chronic back ailment for which he earlier had surgery in Germany.

New Born Baby Rescued Alive After Being Flushed Down From University Toilet

Pictures have emerged showing the moment a newborn baby was rescued after she was found stuffed in a pipe leading away from a university bathroom. The mother, a student at Linyi University in Shandong province in eastern China, is believed to have given birth to the child over a toilet on Sunday. The baby girl, who police suspect was flushed down the lavatory, was luckily found when students heard crying coming from a 20 centimetre-wide pipe leading away from the bathroom. Fire services were called and the newborn was eventually located wedged in a section of piping between the third and fourth floor of the university building. Firefighters rescued the baby using an angle grinder to cut the pipe and push the child up to colleagues on the floor above. The baby, who survived the ordeal, was then taken to hospital for checks. Fire Brigade spokesman Tao Fang said: ‘It was impossible to get the baby out from above. ‘We used an angle grinder to break open the pipeline on the third floor and we could then push the child up to colleagues on the fourth floor where she was handed to medics who were waiting to take her to hospital.’

Ridiculous! Man Desperate To Buy New iPhone 6 Rents Out His Girlfriend

A Chinese man has offered to ‘rent’ his girlfriend out to other men so that he can raise money to buy the latest model of iPhone.

Images of Wei Chu, 25, standing outside Songjiang University, Shanghai holding a ‘Girlfriend Sharing’ advertising board first emerged on Chinese social media earlier this week.

He invited interested passers-by to log on to a nearby wifi network in order to check out images of his 21-year-old girlfriend Xiao Ai, who can be ‘rented’ for just £1 an hour – although the man insists ‘no funny business’ can take place on dates he suggests should be focused around dinner or studying.

The contract includes everything but sexual acts, according to the handwritten signs the man held up.

In return for $1.64 an hour, the man is making his girlfriend available to “eat, study, play games or go on dates,” just “no funny business.”

News outlets are reporting that his girlfriend was allegedly in on the pitch.
